Our Process
Our Process – Built on Quality, Communication & Trust
“If it’s being remodeled, it’s being revived.”
At Revive Stone & Tile Inc., we believe a great renovation isn’t just about materials and tools — it’s about communication, trust, and craftsmanship. We’re a proud family-owned business, and our family works hard to get the job done for you. We treat every client like our own family, and every project is held to the highest standards because as the owners, we personally work on your project.
We treat your home with the same care and respect we’d give our own, balancing your vision and budget with our commitment to excellence. Our process is designed to keep you informed, involved, and confident from the first call to the final walkthrough. Every step is intentional, every detail matters, and every decision is made with your best interest in mind.
1. The First Conversation – The Most Important Step
This is where we get to know each other. We’ll introduce ourselves, learn about your goals, style, and timeline, and explain how we work. From the very first call or text, our goal is to make the process easy, clear, and stress-free.
By asking the right questions up front — the ones that matter for your specific project — we can prepare an estimate that’s about 95% accurate. This early connection sets the tone for the rest of the project and ensures we start off on the right foot, working together toward the same vision.
2. Your Project Blueprint – Accuracy Before Action
To ensure precision, we’ll request:
- Your name, contact info, and project location
- A simple sketch or measurements of your space
- Photos of key areas (counters, corners, sinks, showers, floors, or cabinets)
- Material preferences — quartz, granite, quartzite, marble, porcelain, tile, flooring, or custom cabinets
- Backsplash or tile style (6-inch, full-height, or custom design)
- Any special features or upgrades (waterfall edges, heated flooring, built-in niches, specialty edging, soft-close drawers, etc.)
Communication Point: The more complete the information we receive, the faster and smoother your project will move forward.
3. Materials First — Secured Before We Begin
Your estimate will include:
- Photos of in-stock materials available for your project
- An invitation to our private showroom for one-on-one selection
- The option to visit our suppliers with us to view their newest inventory
Because natural stone changes constantly, we recommend viewing in person for quartzite, granite, marble, and porcelain.
We always secure your materials before starting demolition — no exceptions. This is how we minimize downtime and keep your home functional for as long as possible.
For example, in a kitchen renovation, we make sure everything is ordered, delivered, and ready to go before we remove your old countertops or cabinets. This way, you’re not without a working kitchen any longer than absolutely necessary. Once demolition begins, we move directly into templating, fabrication, and installation to keep the project flowing smoothly.
4. The On-Site Strategy Session – Finalizing Every Detail
Once you approve the estimate, we schedule a home visit to:
- Take exact measurements
- Review and confirm materials in your home’s lighting
- Finalize all design and functional details
- Lock in your project schedule
Communication Point: This is the last stage to make changes before work begins. After this step, we proceed according to the agreed plan to keep your project on time.
5. Our Facility, Our Standards – Precision Fabrication & Prep
All fabrication is done in our own facility — no outsourcing.
- Countertops are cut, polished, and finished to exact specifications
- Seams, edges, and cutouts are perfected before leaving our shop
- Flooring, cabinetry, and tile are staged, inspected, and ready for installation
Quality Promise: Owning our fabrication facility means we control quality from start to finish.
6. The Install – Professional, Clean, Exact
Our installation team treats your home with care and respect:
- Countertops: leveled, aligned, sealed (when required)
- Showers: waterproofed, tiled, sealed for decades of use
- Cabinets: aligned, securely mounted, hardware installed
- Flooring: fitted with clean transitions and no shortcuts
We confirm installation dates in advance and keep you updated if timing changes due to materials, suppliers, or other factors.
7. The Sign-Off – Your Approval Comes First
We complete a final walkthrough with you to check every seam, surface, and detail together.
You’ll receive:
- Our Maintenance & Care Guide tailored to your materials
- A One-Year Installation Warranty
- Lifetime phone support for future questions or guidance
The Revive Commitment
We believe communication is as important as craftsmanship. We’ll keep you updated, be transparent about timelines, and address any challenges with solutions — not excuses. In return, we ask for prompt responses and timely decisions so we can deliver your project exactly as promised.
As a family-owned business, our name is on every project we complete — and we take that seriously. Whether it’s a simple update or a dream remodel, you can trust that we’ll put our heart, skill, and personal attention into every detail. If it can be built, it can be revived — and when it’s revived, it’s done right.
Material Selection — Designed for Your Style, Function, and Timeline

At Revive Stone & Tile Inc., selecting the right materials is more than just picking colors — it’s about balancing style, durability, care requirements, and timing so your finished space looks beautiful, performs well, and is ready on schedule. Our goal is to make this process simple, enjoyable, and stress-free while ensuring every choice fits your vision, lifestyle, and budget.
How We Guide You
- Understanding Your Priorities — We start by learning what matters most: the overall look you love, how you use the space, how much maintenance you prefer, and your budget range.
- Presenting Curated Options — Based on your needs, we present materials that match your style and performance goals, with pros and cons clearly explained so you can make informed decisions.
- Hands-On Viewing — We’ll provide high-definition photos and, when possible, schedule in-person slab or sample viewings in our showroom or at the supplier, so you see true color, veining, and texture before making your final choice.
Countertops & Solid Surfaces
- Quartz — Non-porous, consistent in color/pattern, highly stain and scratch resistant, and low maintenance.
- Granite — Natural beauty, unique patterns, and excellent durability; sealing recommended periodically.
- Quartzite — Striking veining with the durability of granite; requires sealing as needed.
- Marble — Elegant and timeless; softer surface that develops a patina, ideal for clients who appreciate natural aging.
- Porcelain Slabs — Ultra-thin, heat- and stain-resistant, ideal for sleek modern looks or large seamless walls.
Tile & Flooring
- Material Options: Porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), hardwood, and engineered wood.
- Considerations: Slip resistance for wet areas, ease of cleaning, durability for high-traffic zones, and pattern layout (stacked, brick, herringbone, chevron).
- Grout & Trim: Matching or contrasting grout, epoxy for added stain resistance, and clean metal edge trims for a polished finish.
Cabinetry (If Included)
- Style & Finish: Shaker, slab, or custom; painted or stained in any finish level.
- Functionality: Soft-close hinges, drawer organizers, pull-outs, and custom storage solutions.
- Timing: Cabinet delivery is aligned with countertop templating to minimize project downtime.
Sinks, Edges & Backsplash
- Sink Options: Undermount, apron/farmhouse, or bar/prep sinks.
- Edge Profiles: Eased edge as our default; mitered, waterfall, or decorative edges for an elevated finish.
- Backsplash Choices: 6” stone splash, full-height stone, or tile in your chosen pattern.
The Revive Selection Process
- Initial Review: We help you narrow options quickly by style, performance, and budget.
- Visual Confirmation: View full slabs for stone projects to ensure you approve the veining, tone, and movement.
- Detailed Documentation: We record all SKUs, lot numbers, finishes, and quantities in your Selection Summary.
- Reservation & Hold: Once approved, we secure your materials to ensure availability before demolition begins.
- Seam & Vein Planning: For stone projects, we plan seam placement and vein direction before fabrication to guarantee the finished look meets your expectations.
Bottom line: With Revive Stone & Tile Inc., material selection isn’t overwhelming — it’s organized, informed, and designed to give you exactly what you envision without costly changes or delays.
Fabrication — Where Skill Meets Craftsmanship
At Revive Stone & Tile Inc., fabrication is the stage where your chosen materials are transformed into the custom pieces that will bring your project to life. This process blends advanced equipment with hands-on craftsmanship, ensuring precision while maintaining the artistry that only skilled fabricators can provide.
We operate with approximately 70% machine precision and 30% hand craftsmanship, allowing us to produce high-quality work that feels truly custom.
1. Material Pickup & Safe Transport
We personally pick up your selected slabs or materials from the supplier or they deliver, whether it’s natural stone, quartz, porcelain, tile, or cabinetry components. Materials are carefully secured on professional A-frames and padded for protection during transport. They are delivered straight to our fabrication facility — never left at the job site until they are ready for installation.
2. Initial Inspection & Quality Check
When materials arrive at our shop, we inspect every piece for:
- Color consistency and uniformity
- Veining and natural characteristics
- Structural integrity, chips, or cracks
For natural stone, we review the slab for its strongest layout options, noting any areas to avoid during cutting.
3. Preparation & Surface Treatment
- Natural Stone: We apply a protective sealant treatment before fabrication to safeguard against chipping, staining, or moisture absorption during the cutting and polishing process.
- Quartz & Porcelain: These materials are cleaned and prepped to ensure optimal handling and fabrication results.
- For cabinetry or flooring projects, materials are prepped according to their specific needs to ensure smooth installation later.
4. Templating & Measurements
All templates are created by hand, measured precisely to fit your space. This ensures we can account for walls that aren’t perfectly square, custom overhangs, and any special design requirements.
5. Cutting the Material
Our shop uses laser-guided bridge saws and water-fed cutting systems for precision.
- Straight, miter, and specialty cuts are performed by machine when possible for accuracy.
- Complex details, adjustments, and final shaping are often done by hand to achieve the right finish.
- Sink, cooktop, and faucet cutouts are carefully measured and cut, then polished for a smooth, safe edge.
6. Seams & Vein Matching
We always strive for minimal, tight seams and the best possible vein matching. However:
- Some materials (especially translucent quartz or certain natural stones) will naturally have seams that are more noticeable due to dye variations in epoxy or the stone’s own properties.
- Vein matching depends on slab size, material type, and whether the project uses prefabricated pieces or full slabs. In some cases, perfect vein matching is not possible — but we always aim for the most visually appealing layout given the material’s limitations.
7. Edge Profiling & Hand Detailing
Your chosen edge style is shaped using routers and grinders, followed by careful hand-finishing to maintain uniformity and smoothness. This is where craftsmanship shines — every edge is checked by hand for comfort, polish, and consistency.
8. Polishing & Surface Finish
Surfaces are polished to the finish you select (polished, honed, or leathered). We ensure even texture and consistent sheen across the entire piece.
9. Final Sealing (Natural Stone)
If your project uses granite, quartzite, or marble, we apply a high-quality sealer after fabrication for lasting protection. Quartz and porcelain do not require sealing.
10. Quality Control & Wrapping
Before leaving our facility, each piece is inspected for:
- Accurate measurements matching the template
- Clean, even edges and corners
- Properly aligned seams and patterns
- Surface free of chips, scratches, or defects
Once approved, materials are wrapped and padded for safe delivery.
Applies to All Trades We Perform
While this process is written for countertops, the same care and precision apply when we fabricate or prepare:
- Tile work for bathrooms, showers, and backsplashes
- Flooring installations
- Cabinetry components that we supply and install
Whether it’s stone, wood, or tile, every project we fabricate receives the same meticulous attention to detail.
